Mission visits
If you feel God is leading you to help out with the work in Kenya and can supply references and a police subject access report which you can obtain through the Police (this is necessary due to the nature of the work), then contact us and we will be happy to talk to you. You would need to provide your own return flights, visas, innoculations and a contribution towards your maintenance -plus pocket money. This would be on a work experience basis. Please contact us for further details.
Bethlehem is situated on the edge of the tea plantations of Limuru about 25 miles north of Nairobi, with an altitude of 7500ft above sea level and a location 15 mins from the breath taking view of the Great Rift Valley and Mount Longonot.
Nakuru National Park is only 2-3 hours away with close up sightings of Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Zebra, Gazelle, Waterbuck and many more and, if blessed, Leopard: not forgetting the fabulous flocks of flamingos.
Remember this is a Christian Family Community and it would be necessary for you to fit into community life completely.
In 2007 we were blessed by the visit of two post-graduate students and one of them enjoyed it so much she extended her stay!!
Recently we have been visited by people from other Missions. Also the local Kenyan Police have visited Bethlehem to talk to the children and see for themselves the difference made in their lives.
If you are gifted in music, dance, drama or teaching you are especially welcome but your main gifting must be the love of children and the ability to fit into the way of life. If you are still interested then please visit the contact page for details on how to contact us.
